it is very popular for loading ramps for motorcycles to use 2x10 or 2x12 in this same manner. In those cases (especially in that picture) the boards are holding up fine (though bending a little) under more than 400lbs each, but over a 10ft span or so.

The length of THESE boards is less than two feet, and only holding around 900 lbs each, well within their strength limits.

For straight compression, a 2xX is supposed to be able to hold roughly 500-700 PSI, which means that this board is more or less overkill, especially in this situation.

I wouldn't be afraid whatsoever, those are in an extremely strong configuration.
